Some consider Border Collie's to be the smartest dogs in the world. In fact, some consider a specific Border Collie named, "Chaser" to be the smartest dog to have ever lived. Chaser belonged to Dr. John Pilley, a Psychology Professor interested in studying animal intelligence. 

Dr. Pilley managed to teach Chaser over 1,000 different words, a remarkable vocabulary for any dog. He would work for hours with Chaser, teaching her the names of various toys & then asking her to go and retrieve the specific one he asked for. 

Chaser was living proof of what we already knew to be true. You won't find a more intelligent & loving dog than a Border Collie! We had to name a coffee in her honor.
